DDG Charity was recently chosen as the beneficiary of Art & Athletes for Action, held on Tuesday August 16th at The Ivy Buckhead. The evening included a full solo abstract exhibition of up and coming artist, Dylan Ross, followed by a 3-5 piece art live auction (values ranging from $170-$220), raffle, and silent auction (values ranging from $250-$2500) from the always chic Wendy Babchin Designer Group. The exhibition was hosted by former Atlanta Falcon Todd "TJ" Duckett, with several current and former Falcons and other pro-athletes in attendance! To check out some of the art that was on display and for sale at the exhibition please visit www.dylanrossart.com or check it out on Facebook atwww.facebook.com/dylanrossart. Many thanks to the Ivy's Melanie Lott, DDG's wonderful volunteers TJ Duckett, Robyn Fujimoto, and Allison Nichols, and Richard Dawson of Shaped-Light Photography for helping run a successful event!
DDG Charity was thrilled to be chosen as the recipient of a $2500 grant from the 8th grade class at Atlanta Youth Academy. The class was interested in supporting an organization that focused on the issue of child sex trafficking and discovered DDG during their research. DDG's Board Chair, Bronni Karatassos, spoke to the class twice and her passion for the issue was listed as one of the primary reasons DDG was chosen over other organizations, as well as her explanation regarding how their hard-earned funds would be used. Jamanda Turner, also a member of our Board of Directors, also spoke with the students again at the class BBQ where the check was received. DDG is proud of their board members for actively and passionately raising awareness about the issue while raising funds for the organization and the restoration homes it supports!
